Site characterisation
Integrated satellite imagery, DEMs and field-collected geospatial data for each project site.
Environmental baseline mapping · Kwara State
Terrain, hydrology, thirty-year land-cover change, vegetation, climate and field evidence integrated across the Asadam, Lata and Share project sites.
Project objective
The assignment characterised three project sites using satellite imagery, terrain models, field observations and environmental datasets. It established comparable evidence on landscape condition, hydrology, land transformation, vegetation, climate and environmental sensitivity.
My contribution
My role covered baseline spatial analysis, field-data preparation, map production and the interpretation of change across the three sites.
Integrated satellite imagery, DEMs and field-collected geospatial data for each project site.
Produced topographic, drainage and hydrological maps supporting flood-risk assessment.
Classified LULC for 1995–2025 and quantified transformation trends.
Applied multi-year NDVI analysis to assess vegetation health and ecosystem condition.
Mapped geology, soils, erosion, biodiversity and natural resources.
Incorporated rainfall, temperature trends and projections into the spatial assessment.
Spatial workflow
Prepare satellite, terrain, climate, environmental and field datasets.
Map topography, drainage, soils, geology and environmental features.
Evaluate LULC and vegetation change across multiple years.
Georeference and check spatial findings against field observations.
Produce maps, figures and datasets for the technical baseline reports.

Outputs and value
The baseline studies provided spatially consistent evidence for site understanding, technical reporting and subsequent project decisions.
